september? where did you come from?

1. my sweet god daughter, priscilla.
she runs around with the carefree spunky spirit we all should strive to have. i'm so thankful to be welcome on harwood court on a tuesday evening.

2. tutti text string.
"what happened to tutti?"
"tutti far?"
"damn i'm funny"
"my stomach is more used to tutti than haagen dazs."
"tutti much"
"you're tutti'ing me...tutti much gas."

it's the little things, aud. i love you.

3. cold air when you sleep.
i have this system. when it's not too windy, the front window open. when the weather does not cooperate the side one it is. all curled up in my fleece blanket.

4. catch up sesh.
sometimes i don't see margo for a week. then we catch up. and things are complete again.

5. cara's class.
m,w,f. 6am. early, but worth it. she rocks. and so does her music.

4. stacie's giant headphones.
talk about surround sound.
5. meeting someone new.
"introduce yourself to the person next to you." i know a good soul when i see one.

i'm perfecting this skill. i know it sounds silly, but i've discovered another way to fit in reading to my life in addition to the bus and before bed:)

i believe it was august 9th, 2009 i was en route to paris in first class on airfrance.

what an adventure i've lived to tell. even though i don't tell it too often, it's with me always.

on this - yet another - gloomy monday, i am thankful for...

1. when kelley visits.

this moment was when we were on our way to get out nails done and i didn't have any cash with me. kells whipped out her mula. fan it, sista.

2. miss andrea glick.
i admire you.

3. water aerobics.

so homey. i'm so happy for both of you in your big move. i love your apartment. and i love you both!

5. swings and slides.
there's nothing like pretending you're 7 years old again after too much wine:) our saturday night was so entertaining.

where oh where has the summer gone?

do we love the new look and feel of it's all happening? i heart it.

i've done several "draft posts" these past few months, but never hit "publish". silly me. just "so busy." oh please. the truth is, i miss this blog so so much. i've been rushing and whirl-winding through life lately. it's funny, i'm living my life, in part, the way i've always wanted to. it's such a great feeling when you have this vision of how you want to be movin' and groovin' and all of a sudden it comes true. i hope this means that all my visions will come true eventually. that'd be nice.

there are several things weighing me down this week. little annoying heavy bricks in my backpack - as my dear, anna quindlen would say. snap out of it, gina.

life is good. you are on the right path. things are as they should be. continue on your journey and everything will work out just the way it's meant to. that's been my "intention" this week.

here goes gratitude...

1. edward sharpe and the magnetic zeros. home.
one of my songs of summer.

2. sara barielles. king of anything.
nothing but love, sara. can't wait until september 7th, 2010. new album, yes.

3. eric hutchinson. it's ok it's alright with me.
wise words, my friend.

4. lindsey morkert.
this girl has truly changed my life. without her i'd be 5 pounds heavier. my running and yoga passion would not have been pursued with such gusto without you. there's no way i'd actually get out of bed at 5:45am in the dark and misty fog. thank you, friend, for helping me achieve so many things i've been wanting to for so so long.

5. women, food, and god.
a must read. geneen roth is RIGHT ON. i've read several of her other books, so when this one was introduced to me i dove right in. one of my favorite quotes: "it's not about food. it's never about food. and it's not even about feelings. it's about what's below them. what's beyond them. it's about the parts of you that you take to be you. the parts of you with which you identify."
oprah is a big fan. get on the bandwagon.

6. aha yoga.
a haven of health, happiness, and inspiration. a great addition to my life. a hop, skip and a jump away from my house. thank gosh i discovered you.

7. the help.
so nostalgic for aibileen, minny, and miss skeeter. don't forget to read it this summer.

8. coral hobo clutches.
i've been in the market for a new wallet for about a year. mom found this beauty for me on sale. makes me so happy.

9. diane.
there are no words to how much you help.

10. pseudo older sisters. you listen to every thought that goes through my head. and for that, i sincerely thank you.

11. witnessing my beautiful sister grow up.
so proud of you. look how little you were then:)

12. jam packed weekends.
jammy jam it all in this summer. my how time flies. best friend visits. santa barbara. sonoma. weddings. concerts. san diego.

13. PHO.
how good is pho!? my new favorite meal. Pho-nomenal!

wow, what a release this was. until next time. all my love. gm.

1. oh hi. i just wanted to introduce you to my new apartment. what a gem. it's funny how things work out. someone once told me, they always do.

2. homemade croutons!!! how fun. whole wheat baguette lightly sprinkled with olive oil, balsamic, and garlic salt. yum. it was worth the bazillion crumbs in my kitchen and setting the fire alarm off. nothing a little opening of every window and waving the dish rag in front of the darn thing couldn't fix.

3. the happiness project. full of great real life advice. i hope to create my own happiness project soon.

4. de-cluttering. (thanks to the book above i'm thankful for doing this at home and at work).

5. my very own apartment. i know this overlaps with #1., but there is something so incredible empowering about your own space.

i am a bride in a naughty world. my two shoes are goody-goody. my halo glows in the dark, lighting my way. optimism is my mantra. namaste. i am good.

this rings true.

1. i love that moment when the bus comes at exactly the right time. you walk up the street and instead of waiting and stressing and checking, the bus graciously rolls right on up. like magic.
2. floral print dresses. it's one of my favorite bday presents and although it's probably more spring/summer i'm wintering it up with tights/boots.
3. the sweeterie.
i'm obsessed. it's a daily read. their words really brighten my day.
4. best guy friends.
wouldn't get by without them.
5. new york memories.
i can't stop thinking about it still...and it's been 2 weeks!

1. i love valentine's day.
i love it for the pure fact that it forces people to really recognize what/who they have and love (if they don't do it every day already). i wouldn't have had my "love day" any other way. spent with good friends over a long dinner outside on a "brink-of-spring" kind of night. excellent people watching...oh the countless dates. i am so lucky.

2. yesterday i had the best bare arms jog i've had in a long time. i'm so thankful for that feeling when the sun shines after a long spell of rain and overcast days. i swear i got some new freckles. god bless vitamin d.

3. daffodils. i love what they symbolize. the coming of spring. the rebirth of something beautiful after hybernating all winter. the bright happy color yellow.

4. garage singing sessions. this kiss. happy girl. secret of life. if i could be any sort of famous, it would without a doubt be a country singer. something carrie underwood-like.

5. saturday mornings. i heart them.

brand new year. 2010. january 15th.

two thousand ten.
it's only 15 days into this glorious year and i feel like i've take a big breathe of fresh air. a little lighter.

1. STACIE IS BACK. my partner in crime. and although things may be a little rough over here at nbc and there might be tough moments and ups and downs it's ok because at the end of the day i have her. and we get to sit in the big stall and watch the miracle of motherhood while i cheer "pump pump pump it up!"
2. my mini at a glance 2010 - 2011 calendar that fits so nicely into my purse. after years of practice in trying to find the right planner, this one does me good.
3. marc jacobs bags. i don't think i'll get sick of this fabulous gray bag for quite some time.
4.cobb salads. i'm on a kick. minus the bacon of course.
5. big rings. on sale at ann taylor. what a fun splurge.
